How Much Down Payment Do You Need in Dubai?

The amount you may need to contribute toward a Dubai property can depend on your residency status, property type, property value, and whether the property is completed or off-plan.
For expatriates, the Central Bank of the UAE mortgage regulations set maximum loan-to-value ratios of up to 80% for a first owner-occupied property valued below AED 5 million and up to 70% for a first owner-occupied property valued above AED 5 million. For second or subsequent homes or investment properties, the maximum LTV is 60%. For off-plan property purchases, the maximum LTV is 50%.
